Savage is a suburb of Minneapolis, located 15 miles south -southwest of downtown, in Scott County. It’s located on the south bank of the Minnesota River in a region referred to as South Of The River. Savage, once a landing point for the Irish and Scottish immigrants in 1800, has grown into a developing community, once a ship building port for the US Navy, it is now an industrial and manufacturing job center in the south metro area. The population according to the 2010 census was 26,911.
