Northfield Minnesota, is located along the Cannon River just south of Minneapolis and St Paul, located in Dakota and Rice counties with a population of 20,007.  The city has its beginnings in 1855 when John Wesley North, who built a saw mill.  An interesting piece of history is when the outlaw gang led by Jesse James tried to rob the First National Bank, the residents figured out what was going on and thwarted the robbery.  To this day they still celebrate an annual festival called The Defeat Of Jesse James Days.
